Question: To what extent does Washu's hair resemble Sonic the Hedgehog's? Answer: Washu's hair is about 10% like Sonic's. As others have already pointed out, Sonic doesn't really have hair, but rather quills. Sonic's spikes don't even look like hair, while Washu's do. In any case I assume the question is trying to compare the similarity of the spiky styles. Sonic has like three or four spikes, while Washu has many smaller ones. So they're only somewhat similar, let's say 10%. Parallel discussion on who we like better: I have no idea who Washu is, so I can't really say if I like one of them better. But I do like Sonic. I watched the Sonic cartoon once, and agree that it is aimed at very young viewers. I prefer the characterization of Sonic from the original Genesis games. He was cool then, without even having to say a word.

I am sure this debate ended long ago, but what the hey, I never met a link I wouldn't click... Washuu has glorious great hair. It took a while for me to realize that it is styled like a crab (actually it was the crab noise-maker in front of the door to her lab, and her crab screensaver that started me pondering this) The fact is that she has crab hair, and more power to her. Sonic, all I can say is that Sonic used to have a plot and was well animated (I didn't follow it but happened upon it from time to time) then it must've been bought out by some merchandising firm, because all of a sudden it was aimed at 5 year olds, and had all the artistry of the Itchy & Scratchy show on the Simpsons. The backgrounds went all Dr. Suess and Sonic just ran around blowing stuff up. What caused this show to go through such a revolting degeneration like that, I have no idea. As for hedgehog hair, well, it's quills, and they keep their quills unappealing to predators by barfing up toxins to spread all over themselves (it's called "anointing") at least Sonic does this in private, we can only assume.

My opinion of the difference between Sonic and Washu's hair styles is strong. I have more than a basic knowledge of both, but I would say that I like my mom's hair better. I think my hair bears more resemblance to that hedgehog than Little Washu does, but they still have the saw-tooth thing going.

Yes, Washu is cool, but anyone saying just plain sux or his fighting skills are off doesn't know there history. to those people I say read up on both characters before you make a choice, just because you know one character real well and one you don't know at all, doesn't make the one you know more about better.
